The Sinister Blue Whale Project

Back in November 2015 a mysterious website in Russia introduced a sinister game to young teenagers known as the Blue Whale challenge name after how blue whales will often go to dry land to die. This challenge was a series of instructions for young depressed teens to self harm themselves over the course of 50 days, on the 50th day they are instructed to commit suicide. Sites that encourage self harming and suicide to the mentally ill need to be stopped. from November 2015 to April 2016 130 suicides were linked to the Blue Whale site. not much is known about the challenges leading up to the final day other than teens are instructed to cut instructed letters or images into their arms and listen to sad songs. One teen reported that she was instructed to watch a series horror films alone for many hours. One reporter tried to use an alias and pose as a teen for the Blue Whale challenge. On the first day the admin had told her once she starts she cant quit and at the end of the game that she would die, as well if she decides to quit half way through that the admin has her information and threatened to track her down. Unfortunately the reporter was not able to get farther in the challenge as the admin realized that he was being tricked. This website is taking depressed teens who need help and psychologically breaking them down over the course of these 50 days until they are obedient to the admin. We need to raise awareness to track down track down these teens who need help.
